Warning, this is what happens when you befreind a guy like Jim.
The Nano began in Nov 07. I moved the last inverts and shut it down last weekend. The "other woman" is 3 months old now. Really no Ill will intended Jim.. Couldn't and wouldn't have done it without your guidance.(Looking for a spot for the next one). Also, is there anyone in the area from Kanata to Pembroke? I'm in Renfrew and would enjoy a little meet and greet. I've got some metallic green mushrooms, and pink tree frags to swap. Or anything in my tank really.

It's empty now, not sure what to do with it,
hospital, sell, trade for livestock, or just
stuff it in the basement for now.
My son built a beautiful stand with double doors
its quite a bit more secure than the standard one.
I'll post a pic soon. |

Thank you.
Got this setup used from Jim last december,
It came with 6 bulb setup, so i kept it the same.
I'm running t5 vho 3 full spectrum, 3 actinic
I've modified the canopy from origional.
New glass is 75 gallon, old was 90 so the tall top
looked out of proportion.
Put new bulb sockets in and made my own
reflector. Only thing is I had
to add a couple 3" cooling fans. $1.99 princess auto.
On the same timer as the actinic bulbs.
Just finished moon lights with automotive L.E.D.'S
and a transformer..
Works great. |

It looks really good!
I need to upgrade my lights, I just have the cheap strip that came with my tank. Its a 36 gal bowfront, and the light is a 20W. I am not quite sure what to get yet, but I think a 2x18 T5 strip would be enough light. I'm trying to wait for a bit, the longer I can hold off on buying it, the more money I can save to put into it!
I'm also going to make some DIY moonlights. You can buy blue cold cathode tubes that are designed to go inside a computer case, they just hook into a regular computer power supply. |

For sure, go vho. Just make sure you get the proper ballast.
the higher wattage the better. Good idea on the moonlights, just watch that they are waterproof. The ones I picked up are for under a car, they are sealed. |

| Very good point. How much are the blue lights for under the car? Did they also come from Princess auto? |

Found em at wal mart , an 8 pack blue led they are each inside
a clear dome case. 4 on each string. I think they were 15 bucks.
Only thing is the light is quite focused in a beam because
the cover acts like a lens. I only used 2 and a transformer.
I pushed sandpaper on the lens with my thumb and rotated
to blurr the plastic, that diffused the light more. A little off topic here, we can move this to D.I.Y forum |

That fish is a juvinile coris wrasse
As it gets older it will change colour to a bluish
tint with different coloured head and tail, quite striking.
It's interesting because it wiggles itself in the
substrate at night. |

| Its a really cool looking fish. I don't think I have enough real estate for one of those in my 36! I would like to add a 6-line at some point. I've got lots of hiding places in the LR, and I think they are a little less aggressive than other Wrasse species. |

I also have a 6 line wrasse.
Note the orange coris is only 2 1/2 " long now
and should be 4 or 5 inches fullgrown.
long and slender.
I see the coris as less aggressive than
my 6 line. In fact coris is not
pushy at all, never has been. |

| Yeah, I noticed both in there. Everyone is right! I want a bigger tank already. The wrasse's really add colour to your tank. Right now I have 1 false perc clown, 1 sleeper goby and 1 orange line chromis. So far they are all doing great. |
