I have some Zoa polyps and for some reason some are missing. there is also something else on the same rock but I don't know what it is here is a pic.

Any ideas of what this is or what is causing my polyps to go missing?

At night time after the lights are off for a couple of hours, take a flash light to the zoas and see if you notice any tiny snails around them or any other hitchhiker. There are some tiny snails that will eat the zoas which come in on the liverock.

What about a small six leged serpent star it was on it when I got it. Total size of the Star is about 1". Also my hermit (blue leged and scarlet) are on the polyps all the time.

Serpants stars are not a problem.
Its hard to tell by the pic what it is.Is the rock easy to take out?
If it is.Bring it down next time you stop by.
Are the polyps missing in different areas or all in the same spot?
