Well, I guess I must now join the flood club. We were sitting here in the living room last night and I heard a snap/cracking sound. Thought it was just the Humu humu picking at a snail. Didnt think anything of it, until I decided to look at the sump as that sound just wasnt right. I noticed water pooling up on my floor and in my stand. about 2" of water on the inside of my stand. (my stand if waterproof) and I made it to hold water if iI had a leak, guess it worked.

My sump cracked from the 1st chamber to the refuge, Not sure why or how? Nothing hit it or touched it. So very strange. Here is a picture anyway

Nooo.. not right.... only thing I can say is that I am glad it wasn't your main tank.

What size of sump was it?

It is a 20Gal sump

could have been that peace of glass/baffle. If they are a little to tight puts stress on the glass. I had a 10g (which is really thin glass)and put a peace of under gravel filter to divide it into two it seemed to be perfect at the time it wasnt to tight just snug , and a day later herd the same crack/pop and found water pouring from it. Cracked the whole front.

wow.. well I brought it to Jims and we checked it all out. Just needs a new piece of glass. I ordered the piece and it should be in tomorrow. So I should be back in business soon.

Nothing was too large, everything seemed to be the right size/shape for the glass. Could have expanded due to the heat
